A odds calculator is a tool that, by entering a small amount of data, determines whether a bet is worthwhile. Because there are different factors to consider. If the odds are too low, certain system bets make no sense. An odds calculator for sports betting can reveal this. However, a similar concept is also used for surebets. In fact, the absolutely safe tips still exist. However, they are difficult to find. A betting odds calculator helps the player with this. For many types of bets, it is also helpful to be able to calculate the fair odds or determine the probability. With this we have defined the topic of our guide.

System bets: Success with the odds calculator

System bets

What is a system bet? It is a combination of games where not every bet tip has to be right to win. Suppose six games in soccer are selected. The home team should always win. Now we’re going to play the 4 out of 6 system. In order to get a payout, we need at least four matches that have ended according to our tip. It is also worth using the odds calculator. Because if we set the quotes too low, our stake is in case of doubt larger than the subsequent profit. We have prepared sample calculations for this type of bet calculator.

  • Small systems: Have a chance to grow and can be worthwhile
  • Medium Systems: The more games, the more bets and stakes, the greater the risk
  • Big system tips: We can’t get any benefit from a sports bet like 15 out of 16

Example 1: Systems 2 and 3 from 4

At this point we want to clarify how the selection of systems and quotas influence each other. In this regard, we simulate the odds calculator for sports betting. Suppose we are betting in the 2 out of 4 system and have odds of 1.50 for each game. If only two sports bets are now correct, then with six combinations and a total stake of 100 euros, we have only received 37.50 euros for payment. A loss of 62.50 euros has been determined. However, if three tips work out, we get 112.50 euros.

Both variants are not or hardly worthwhile. The rate should be higher. Alternatively, we have to allude to a different system with such small odds. If we continue betting in 3 out of 4 with our odds calculator, we still end up with a loss with three correct games, with a payout of 84.38 euros (at a stake of 100 euros). With odds of 1.80, it would still be 145.80 euros if you got three correct ones, which is a win.

Example 2: Systems 3 and 4 from 5

Example 2

The system bet 3 out of 5 consists of 10 combinations. Therefore, either our total stake increases or the stake per bet decreases. In both cases, we definitely need higher odds to make it worth playing. Let’s take odds of 2.00 as an example. If three out of five tips are correct for a stake of EUR 100 (EUR 10 per bet), we only get paid EUR 80 and lose EUR 20. If, on the other hand, a fourth bet is correct, the number of correct bets increases and we are paid out 320 euros.

However, even though we are playing 3 out of 5, four sports bets would have to end as desired. Which brings us directly to the 4 out of 5 system. We only play 5 combinations. With a total stake of 100 euros, the single stake increases to 20 euros per bet. This leaves us with four correct tips and a profit of 320 euros. However, if only three bets are correct, we do not get a partial refund – as is the case with the 3 out of 5 system. It is therefore always necessary to use the odds calculator to weigh up in detail which system bet is worthwhile. A system bet calculator also helps here and it can also be helpful to consider an Asian handicap bet.

Example 3: Systems 2 and 5 from 6

Even without the system bet calculator app, we now want to try out some more extreme bets. In the 2 out of 6 system, four events are allowed to go wrong and we still get a payout. However, the quota must be correspondingly high for this to be worthwhile. With a quote of 4.00 and a total stake of 100 euros (6.67 euros per bet), we already get 106.67 euros back. If three bets are actually correct, the sum increases to 320 euros.

If there were 15 combinations before, there are only six combinations with 5 out of 6. This increases the stake per station wagon. Since we can hardly afford to make mistakes, we reduce the odds to 1.60 and see if it’s already worth it. Since in this case a combination of five goes through, the payout is already 174.76 euros (100 euros total bet). If with luck even all sports bets go through, the player gets 1048.58 euros. We have now clarified how we calculate the profit for the system bet.
